"The face starts to GO"

I can't believe it's May already, nothing makes you realize how fast time flies by than having children and watching them grow in front of your eyes. I'm exactly one year and 6 months away from experiencing my quarter-life crisis...but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I had an interesting conversation with a lady I just randomly met a while back...she just started divulging all her eating and exercise habits to me out of the blue. But she had very interesting points that I considered sharing here, since some of these topics are of origin to this blog.

  • The reason she stays slim is her "HALF OF EVERYTHING" philosophy. Even at dinner, she'll put everything equally as the other family members' on her plate..but she'll eat half and save rest. If she cracks open a peanut, she'll eat just half of the peanut. A little OCD I guess, but I can see how it saves calories in a major way. I'm going to try that although I have trouble eating even half of a cookie..it's more like 3.
  • She watches TV from a mini-trampoline. My vertigo will definitely act up, but I suppose moving my treadmill over by the TV and walking will be sufficient.
  • She says no matter if you are able to keep your bod in tip-top shape, that the FACE STARTS TO GO... Quick, throw me the wrinkle cream ASAP. My mother always told me to try to "prevent" wrinkles before they appear..meaning start applying that goop in your twenties and massage, massage, massage.
Hope these tips may help. As far as my journey's concerned, I'm losing the baby fat little by little..it ain't easy. I may look a little leaner in the muffin top area when I'm standing, but I still have it bulge when I sit down. So now I'm thinking, do you want to lose enough weight so you still look thin when you sit down??? Shit, that may be another thing coming.

But I'm glad to see that some of my pre-pregnancy pants are starting to fit and my self esteem is improving. Remember that if you're 140 or 200 pounds, trying to lose 100 pounds or 20, it's all about feeling good and comfortable in your body. Slim people have body image issues too, don't give them a hard time. No, that's not me I'm talking about but I run across this in other blogs.
